Decadent Chocolate Ganache

Hold on to your chocolate-loving hearts because our Decadent Chocolate Ganache will completely blow you away! This easy 2-ingredient, rich and creamy, chocolaty topping is perfect for drizzling over many desserts and great for dipping cookies or fresh or dried fruits!

  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 8 oz heavy cream


  • Place chocolate chips in a medium bowl.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat bring the heavy cream to a low boil.
  • Pour the hot cream over the chocolate chips and allow to set 2-3 minutes.
  • Starting in the middle, slowly whisk the chocolate and cream together. Continue to whisk until it's smooth and creamy.
  • Drizzle over cakes, cream pies, cupcakes, muffins, sweet bread, bars, or cheesecakes. It's also great for dipping cookies or fresh or dried fruits.
  • For chocolate frosting: After the ganache is cooled, whisk again until it is rich and thick, which is perfect for frosting or decorating cakes and cupcakes.


  • Take the cream off the heat as soon as it comes to a low boil, being careful not to burn it.
This recipe will generously glaze one of the following:
  • 1 bundt cake (with a little left over)
  • 24 cupcakes
  • 1 batch of cookies
  • 11" cheesecake
