Another year has come and gone and we are so thankful for each and every one of you that have been a part of My Sweet Mission throughout the year! With each comment and social share, our precious readers continue to help us grow our blog and we appreciate you so very much! So, with grateful hearts that are full of love, we sincerely say Thank You and wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas! It has been a privilege again this year to bring you many of our favorite recipes and kitchen tips, with so many more to come in the new year!
A lot has changed this year with us moving from Blogger to WordPress the end of February. I have to admit it has been a lot of work, because for some reason when I transferred my blog my images transferred blurry. I had to fix all of the images and still have some posts to update – thank you for your patience. But, it’s also been a lot of fun and WordPress has many great features and plugins for food bloggers, so it’s worth it and has been very rewarding too.
John and I are here in Washington state celebrating Christmas with our son-in-law, Kenny, daughter, Chelsea, grand-daughter, Laila and our son, Andy. Kenny and Chelsea are having a big Christmas dinner with friends and family and it’s Laila’s second Christmas, so we will have lots of food and fun all day!
They always have their home decorated so beautifully for Christmas and I just wanted to share a few pictures with you!
Here’s our family, from left to right, Kenny, Chelsea, Laila, Heather (Me), John and Andy. This was taken at Kenny & Chelsea’s church after the Christmas Eve service.
As Christians, we believe the true meaning of Christmas is easily summed up in two of my favorite bible verses about Jesus’ birth and His salvation for mankind.
Luke 2:11 ~
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
John 3:16 ~
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
The greatest gift ever given was Jesus Christ coming to earth to bring mankind salvation. John & I hope you and your family experience this beautiful gift because with it comes His love, joy and peace!
