This Catalina Salad Dressing may just become your new favorite dressing. It is sweet and tangy, simply delicious and super easy to make! All you need are some basic ingredients, a blender and about 5 minutes and you’ve got yourself an incredibly tasty, zippy little salad dressing.
I love the bright creamy orange color of this dressing, it’s just so pretty. And, the taste, well you’ve just got to try it for yourself.
We made this recipe for a taco salad (recipe coming soon) and I thought I’d make a homemade Catalina Salad Dressing, instead of using a store-bought one. So, I did some research, found a couple recipes that were similar and tweaked them to create today’s recipe for you. And, it’s a definite keeper!
We didn’t know what we were missing until we made a batch of this Catalina Salad Dressing. Because to be honest, we usually go for the more popular dressings like Italian, Ranch, or our family-favorite red wine vinegar poppy seed dressing.
But, I promise this Catalina Salad Dressing is a strong contender going forward and it’s perfect for taco salads.
So, let’s get blending!
- Put all ingredients, except for the vegetable oil, in a blender. Blend on high speed about a minute, or until creamy.
- With the blender on low speed slowly add the vegetable oil and blend until it’s thick and creamy.
That’s it! Now, just pour it over a crispy salad, or into an airtight container and store it in the fridge for a week or two. Or, bookmark this recipe to have it handy to use on our taco salad recipe we’ll be sharing real soon.
If you’ve had Catalina Salad Dressing before than you know how good it truly is and can make it at home now. If you haven’t had it, then you should make a batch and give it a taste.
