I love April with all of its natural beauty! New buds on the trees, flowers popping up from the earth and it’s so good to see green grass again! Being Floridians for a few years, we sure have been enjoying this warmer weather in Michigan recently.
For many, it’s time to get outside to do a little gardening and spruce up the yard. We don’t go crazy, because we live in a condo, the same one we sold before we moved to Florida (true story). But we do like to add a few flowers for added color and some fresh mulch.
So, here’s what’s been happening in our little world this past month.
My nephew, Philip and his wife, Krista have been trying to get pregnant for a few years. Well, they’re thrilled to be pregnant and due with a little boy, Ezra in July! My sister, Sandy’s family and some of their friends had a shower for them at their home in Ohio.
We stayed overnight at a hotel and spent time with my sisters, Darlene, and Sandy and their husbands, Dom and David. The food was great and it’s always good to see family. What a fun weekend it was!
Then there’s this little guy and more exciting news! Our daughter, Chelsea and her husband, Kenny had a court date last week and it went really well!
So, it looks like their little love’s case is moving in the right direction and HOPEFULLY, he will be ours forever. He is the sweetest little boy, he loves everyone and just wants to make you smile. And he’s such a cutie!
On Easter Sunday our son and daughter-in-law, Andy, and Jessica and their little girl Ruby, along with my Dad, his neighbor Lorene, my sister, Darlene, her husband, Dom and their son Chase all went to a restaurant.
It was also Darlene’s birthday so I made our family’s favorite carrot cake and we all went over to her house after lunch to celebrate her birthday. It was a great day of celebrating Easter and Darlene’s birthday!
This past Wednesday our daughter, Chelsea turned 35. How in the world can that possibly be?! She is as beautiful inside as she is on the outside and we couldn’t be prouder of her and Kenny as they are both pastors at a large church in Washington state and have taken in two little loves this past couple of years.
Unfortunately the first little love, Monique didn’t work out in their favor, but we’re hoping and praying the second one does. Chelsea recently got her credentials and is now a pastor too. What a girl!
