We are so excited that our granddaughter, Ruby made her debut a couple of days early! And, of course I’ll be sharing more about our little sweetheart in the next post. But, today we’re sharing some beautiful Girly Baby Shower Ideas from Andy and Jessica’s recent baby shower.
The day was beautiful and everything was in pink, white and gold.
They are so cute together and love each other very much! Jessica sure looked great for 8 months pregnant.

Girly Baby Shower Ideas ~ The Dessert Table
As mentioned in my post Ruby’s Cookie Favors, I was in charge of the desserts so I made a couple batches of cookies and individually wrapped them, that way people could take one with them as they left the party.
I also made some Chocolate Dipped Pretzels, for those that love sweet and salty treats.
Since everything on the dessert table was pink, white and gold, we bought some pink foil wrapped Hershey’s chocolates and gold foiled wrapped Ferrero Rocher Hazelnut Chocolates. For a nice touch of shimmer.
And, talk about shimmer, we bought some gold polka-dot tissue paper at the Dollar Tree and laid it out flat on a white table clothe. So easy and pretty!
We made some Poppin Pink Popcorn that everyone loved too.
And, had a few small bags of popcorn tied with bright pink bows to give away at the end of the party.
I made three batches of delicate French Macarons that were also a big hit. Did you know you can make French Macarons ahead of time, freeze them and then thaw them a day or two before your big day? Yes, you can!
My nieces, Melissa and Candice have been to Europe and have eaten French Macarons from fine bakeries. They told me my French Macarons were just as good and totally amazing. What a huge compliment, thank you, ladies!
Last, but not least, we ordered a cake from Sam’s Club called Boots & Bows that was ADORABLE!
Girly Baby Shower Ideas ~ The decorations
Beautiful, fresh flowers in crystal clear vases add a feminine and beautiful touch to the guest tables.
Plasticware wrapped in white paper napkins and tied with baby pink ribbons, makes the silverware easy to handle and adds a touch of style to the food table.
They had the cutest little thank you candles and prediction cards for Ruby, where guests could write what they thought Ruby will look like and a place for a special note too.
The door prices were white boxes filled with spa-like gift items, that were wrapped in white netting and tied with pink ribbons. Jessica’s Mother provided all the decorations, along with the thank you gifts, prediction cards and door prices.
As mentioned, John and I decorated the dessert table and made the desserts and cookie favors. It was a team effort for sure!
This may be by far the coolest guest book. Each person dips their finger into a small pallet of different colors, then presses their fingerprint onto a tree on a white canvas, then they sign their name or initials next to or on the fingerprint.
Don’t you just love this idea?! They are going to frame this picture and put it in Ruby’s nursery.
