Love Forgives and because God is love, God forgives. And, He can help you forgive those who have hurt you too. We’re so thankful for God’s forgiveness. I have been a Christian since I was 7 years old. Not because I had to be but because I saw the love of God in my parents and I wanted Jesus to be my friend too. Easter is a time to reflect on the love of God and how He sent His Son to die on a cross for those who are willing to accept Him as their Savior. Now, death couldn’t hold Him and three days later He rose from the grave!
Mother Theresa was a beautiful Christian woman, and she not only believed in the importance of forgiving others, but she taught by example and walked in love.
When Jesus was on the cross in Luke 23:34 (KJV) he said, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” Wow, He forgave those that were mocking, torturing and beating Him. What an example of love…so powerful.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
If you haven’t asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins, He is willing and waiting for you.

After my Mom died of brain cancer, John and I were struggling with typical questions that a Christian might ask; Why her? Why did she have to suffer so? How could a loving God allow this? So, we turned to the Bible.com and found many helpful devotionals on grief, sorrow, loss, finding joy and other devotions that helped us through the grieving process.
Sometimes we don’t understand why things happen the way they do, but we can still trust God because God is love.
We will always miss my Mom, but it is such a comfort to know that she is with her Lord and Savior (her very favorite!) and our pain is slowly fading. God is good.
John, my Dad and me went and saw the new movie “I can Only Imagine” Friday night. It was an awesome story of forgiveness and how God can change even the hardest heart. I won’t give away the ending but it was really good, a must-see movie for sure. Please watch the short trailer if you’re looking for forgiveness and hope.
Is there someone in your life you’ve had a difficult time forgiving? Would you like to forgive them but just can’t seem to do so? God wants to help you forgive them, not for their sake but so you can be free.
My sister, Darlene and I sang this song at my father-in-law’s funeral in 2003. It’s a beautiful song and I love to think of my Mom when I hear it. What she might be seeing, hearing and feeling surrounded by His presence.
We hope you have a Blessed and Happy Easter. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected] I’ll be more than happy to answer your questions.
